Order Hcg
I had a natural miscarriage at 7 weeks gestation on 11/2/06. A follow-up ultrasound showed it was a complete miscarriage with no products of conception left behind. I had positive home pregnancy tests on 12/8/06 & 12/11/06. I had levels drawn on 12/8/06 and my hcg was 120. My period came later on 12/11/06, and I never followed up on the second levels that were drawn because I was sure I wasn’t pregnant anymore after that especially heavy period. This morning, 1/13/06, I had a positive home pregancy test again. My question is, can I be sure this is indicating new hcg levels, because they had to have dropped to zero in order for me to have my period last month?

You should go to the doctor…

yes, it would be a new pregnancy. HCG levels have to be at 0 in order to get your period. Congrats! And good luck!

All those saying your HCG don’t have to be 0 are wrong. I had a miscarriage, I know.

You don’t have to have a zero level of hCG to have your period. All women have levels going from to zero to about five, if not a little higher. Pregnancy tests are designed to detect hCG levels of about 100 or so. I’d say go to the doctor’s and find out what’s going on because it’s very rare to get a false positive on a pregnancy test, even a home one.

My fingers are crossed for you!

if i remember correctly after I had an ectopic some months back I got my period before my levels got to zero. If I am wrong blame my head not my heart. With something like this I wouldn’t assume, go get a blood test to see what your levels are. In addition your doctor probably told you that you should wait a while before trying, you waited a little over two months and thats cutting it close for your body. Good luck and take care of yourself

They say it takes about a month to two months for the HCG levels to get back to normal after pregnancy. The HCG levels have nothing to do with your period. You need to see your doctor.
